An elderly man, feeble and ailing
As far as I can remember, a friend,
We talked about life, oh, and the whole lot,
I sat on his lap to hear his stories,
later to tell him I am so sorry
A loving father I will not forget.
A simple girl, with simple looks, grinning,
Jolly anytime, anywhere, bustling,
We talked about life, oh, and the whole lot,
I love to listen to her advices
(sad - I did not learn them from my mother)
She’s a friend I surely will not forget.
A lad among his group smiles at me
Loud, funny, full of life, became my friend,
We talked about life, oh, and the whole lot,
He is carefree, and I thought wrong - he’s not,
Wooed me, a wink and a smile, a visit,
Now, a husband who makes sense - that I love.
A group of twenty-somethings, the ‘90s,
A group of rebels in a company,
We talked about life, oh, and the whole lot,
A bunch of young people then, daring life,
Drifting logs, noisy lot, but sane enough,
Friends throughout the years, friends that I value.
A lady with a healthy mind, by now,
Keeps me company that I’m pleased about
We talked about life, oh, and the whole lot,
Silent, contemplative, level-headed,
Chatters about sex the same way I do
No qualms, we free our minds of hypocrisy.
A man, I met online, eligible,
Bored and a neophyte, experiments,
We talked about life, oh, and the whole lot,
We chatted almost everyday and night,
Passionate, endearing, intelligent,
Life drifted with the stranger - he’s wounded?
People with diverse views and status,
People who will create a difference
We will talk about life and its whole lot
We will explore the world of dreams, and of
Adventure, of wit, and of knowledge
We’ll talk a lot, and then probably meet.
